The Foundation collaborated with Nantucket Film Festival to include three writers from the Foundation’s Artist Mentorship Program, Lesley Elizondo, Juanita Cepero and Lalo Alcaraz into the NFF screenplay program, which included Gregory Nava (El Norte, Selena) as a guest lecturer for the program.

In partnership with ABC Discovers (now ABC Casting), the Foundation succeeded at opening the doors to the competitive ABC Network & ABC Studios Casting Project workshop for six young actors in the Foundation’s Artist Mentorship Program.

The Foundation recognized immediately that Reinaldo Marcus Green had exciting potential. The Foundation granted him a scholarship while he was a student at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Fast forward to now, and Green has major critically acclaimed productions under his belt–most recently the Oscar-nominated King Richard, HBO's We Own This City and an upcoming Bob Marley biopic at Paramount.
