InformaGente

In the wake of a natural disaster, it is often the most vulnerable communities that are the hardest hit. InformaGente is a short web series featuring Latino artists from the film, TV and music industries interviewing trusted subject matter experts about disaster preparedness and important health information. 

InformaGente disseminates essential disaster preparedness, response and recovery information to the Latino community as natural disasters will hit us harder and more frequently. 

Our pilot program in 2020 leveraged our relationships with popular Latino and Latina entertainers from film, television and music and our partner, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, provided subject matter experts. The first installment of InformaGente was viewed over 9.9 million times and resulted in 20+ local news stories in California with an online potential reach of more than 67 million views.
